Welcome to My Shadowy Corner of the Web

Who is Chris Mystery?

Well, that’s a question I intend to keep dodging…for now. Let’s just say I’ve spent enough time on both sides of the badge, and I know that sometimes the only difference between a hero and a villain is who writes the report.

But you’re not here for me. You’re here for Bobbie Dollar.

Bobbie Dollar isn’t your average investigator—hell, she isn’t even your average person. She’s a modern noir heroine with a wicked wit, deadly aim, and enough snappy one-liners to make Bogart raise an eyebrow.

During her first case, while working as a disgruntled DHS agent with a taste for trouble, Bobbie reluctantly does a favor for a high school frenemy and ends up dodging bullets, bad guys, and her boss’ calls. She’s on the hunt for a missing negative that’s hotter than the lead flying at her from the felons on her tail. If that’s not bad enough, she’s picked up a mysterious shadow while also managing an amorous entanglement with one of NYPD’s finest.

But, if you’re looking for someone that’s willing to drive a luxury sports car through a hail of bullets, or bend the rules like a pretzel to get the job done, well…Bobbie’s your gal. She drawn to trouble like bees to honey—and has a knack for turning heads while she’s at it.

The Bobbie Dollar series was born from my lifelong obsession with noir detectives and my more recent obsession with the radio classic Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar. But Bobbie’s no throwback. She’s sharp, modern, and refuses to let anyone—not her brownnosing boss, not the rich and powerful, not even fate—write the final chapter for her.

In Bobbie’s world, the danger is measured in dollars…expense account dollars, that is. And she always makes sure to get the last word—and the last receipt.

So, stick around. The first case is just heating up, along with her client’s checkbook. And of course, she’s always…

Yours Truly, Bobbie Dollar.
